Stephanie Lynch, PhD, CSP, will be offering this webinar. Dr. Lynch has over 20 years of experience in industrial hygiene and safety across multiple industries and is a skilled researcher with a broad knowledge of respirator fit testing, air monitoring, noise exposure and monitoring, and ergonomics. With that specialized background, Dr. Lynch focuses on refreshing and expanding research, advancing partnerships with regulatory agencies, fostering new product development initiatives, and supporting efforts to advance occupational safety and health globally.

Job description

The EH&S department is recruiting a Manager Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics to support the Janssen Supply Chain pharmaceutical manufacturing processes in Belgium. The position will be based in Geel, Belgium.

The Geel site is the largest chemical production site for small molecule API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) within the Janssen supply chain. We ensure lifesaving medicines reach the patient, safely, optimality, competitively, always. Beside production of API's, the site has a launch & grow mission for new pharmaceutical products. To accomplish this mission, we keep investing in new technologies, people, and partnerships. Our teams are working together in a dynamic environment where innovation and a 'can do' state of mind are common good.

As Manager Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics, you will feel the beating heart of the Janssen Supply Chain (JSC) at the Geel site. You support and advise the site in the development and implementation of the Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics policy, and are continuously improving these programs to prevent severe injuries or undesired health effects caused by activities at the workplace, together with the EH&S team.

Opgelet! We hebben de cursus helaas moeten annuleren wegens te weinig deelnemers. Volgend jaar zal de cursus vernieuwd aangeboden worden.
Ondertussen blijven we deze cursus in-company aanbieden. Indien gewenst, kan de inhoud dan aangepast worden aan de behoefte. Contacteer daarvoor het BSOH Events Team.

In deze cursus leer je hoe je te werk moet gaan om de meetgegevens uit het laboverslag te vergelijken met de grenswaarde voor chemische agentia. De codex verplicht je om dit te doen volgens EN 689.

De beoordeling van de blootstelling moet worden uitgevoerd door een bekwaam persoon, die voldoende opleiding heeft in en ervaring heeft met arbeidshygiënische principes, werk- en meettechnieken, om zijn deel van de beoordeling te kunnen uitvoeren volgens de regels van goed vakmanschap.

Het doel van deze cursus is de minimale competenties aan te reiken die nodig zijn voor de verwerking van de meetgegevens.

Une édition française est en cours d'élaboration.

Topic: At a lot of workplaces, workers are exposed to hand-arm vibration. This is vibration transmitted to the hand and arm when using hand-held power tools and hand guided machinery. Hand-arm vibration can be a significant health risk wherever powered hand tools are used for significant lengths of time.
