Webinar - Working Safely with Beryllium

About: This webinar is part of the “Be Responsible” Beryllium Product Stewardship Programme, sponsored by the Beryllium Science and Technology Association (BeST), which gives guidance to companies and organizations that work with beryllium and beryllium-containing materials.  The primary aim of the Be Responsible programme is to provide information and guidance on best practices to protect workers that may be exposed to beryllium in the workplace.

During this webinar, a panel of experts will present both general and specific industrial hygiene practices to ensure worker safety, as well as provide guidance on assessment practices. We will also discuss the recommended risk management measures to be implemented by industry, coupled with the newly adopted EU binding occupational exposure limit for Beryllium and inorganic compounds, to adequately address occupational risks associated with the processing of these important materials.

Who should attend: This event is aimed at those who have an interest in worker safety such as industrial hygienists, industry association representatives, enforcement authorities, government officials, academia and trade union representatives as well as those interested in occupational safety and health.

Please note that this webinar will be held in English. You may, however, indicate if would you would benefit from a similar webinar held in French or German, to be held at a later date.
